The ultrasound of a pregnant woman’s heart is performed in the same way as that of an ordinary patient and can be performed whenever needed without special preparation. The ultrasound is used to observe the size of the heart, the blood flow and the movement of the heart valves, and to determine whether there are structural changes in the heart. It is very effective in determining and diagnosing diseases such as cardiac function index, heart valve stenosis, and atrial septal and ventricular septal defects.
