What medication is used for otitis media

Otitis media is a disease that occurs in the middle ear, mostly in minors. The symptoms are ear pain, pus in the ear, and hearing loss. When you have otitis media, you are usually treated with the following methods. 1. Use of pro-discharge drugs. When the middle ear is in an inflammatory state, it secretes much more secretions than usual. These secretions contain germs and should be excreted in a timely manner. In this case, drugs that promote the excretion of secretions should be used. 2. Use antibiotics. Otitis media is caused by bacterial infection. In some people, otitis media may also be caused by a mixture of bacterial and fungal infections, so you should visit a hospital and choose anti-infective treatment under the guidance of your doctor. 3. Other treatment. Some people suffer from otitis media, which is related to allergies. When treating otitis media in such people, anti-allergy treatment should be done. Take medications that relieve mucosal congestion. Otitis media can affect the function of the eustachian tube, and taking such medications can make people with otitis media more comfortable. Smoking, second-hand smoke, and listening to loud music for long periods of time may also trigger otitis media and should be avoided as much as possible.
