Is breast fibroid surgery big?

Surgery for fibroadenoma of the breast is not major. Surgery for fibroadenoma is performed under local anesthesia and the size of the wound is determined by the size of the tumor. Larger tumors, such as 4 cm or 5 cm in diameter, require traditional open surgery to remove the lump by making a 4 cm or 5 cm incision on the surface of the breast, sending it for pathological examination after removal, and suturing the wound layer by layer. Smaller fibroadenomas, such as 1-2 cm, require minimally invasive surgery, also known as fibroadenoma spinotomy. Whether minimally invasive or traditional surgery is a minor surgery, not a major one, patients can have their sutures removed in about a week after surgery, and most surgeries can be performed on an outpatient basis.
