Can Kawasaki disease recur in young children with colds

A cold in young children with Kawasaki disease does not necessarily mean a recurrence; most children with Kawasaki disease do not have a high chance of recurrence after they have fully recovered. However, infection is indeed a common precipitating factor for Kawasaki disease in young children, and colds and diarrhea should be avoided as much as possible in daily life. Kawasaki disease in young children is a systemic vasculitic lesion that is characterized by mucosal skin, high fever, enlarged lymph nodes and coronary artery damage. Most of them can recover completely after early diagnosis and timely treatment.
