Pain in the stomach and lower back together may be a disease caused by urinary stones, commonly kidney stones or ureteral stones. If it is a left-sided kidney stone and ureteral stone, the pain is usually manifested in the left side of the waist and the left lower abdomen. In the case of right-sided kidney and ureteral stones, the pain is usually in the right side of the lower back and lower abdomen. The pain can be very severe, even in the form of colic, and may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms when the pain is significant. The diagnosis depends on ultrasound, which can detect stones in the kidney or ureter. If the stones are small, less than 6mm, they can be expelled by drinking more water, jumping up and down, and bouncing around. If the stone is large and embedded in the ureter, it needs to be lithotripsy or Holmium laser lithotripsy under ureteroscopy.
