Esophageal striated hyperdense shadow is usually seen in CT imaging, which may be caused by esophageal foreign body, esophageal hematoma, esophageal cancer and other factors. 1. Esophageal foreign body: when fish splinter, date kernel, bar-shaped metal object, etc. are stuck in the esophageal stricture, CT examination may see these bar-shaped high-density shadows stuck in the esophagus, and there will be a more obvious trigger. 2. Esophageal hematoma: when the esophagus is damaged due to various reasons, it will cause bleeding of the esophageal wall to form a strip-shaped hematoma, which can be indicated by the strip-shaped high-density shadow of the esophagus on CT, and usually the border of the high-density shadow is clearer. 3. Esophageal cancer: a small number of patients with esophageal cancer may also be able to see strip-shaped high-density shadow under CT, usually with unclear boundary and also with the phenomenon of compression and invasion of surrounding tissues. There may be other reasons for esophageal striated hyperdense shadow, so it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible and give appropriate treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
