Early symptoms of dental cancer

The most common oral and maxillofacial malignant tumor in China is squamous cell carcinoma, which occurs in middle-aged men, and the common sites are tongue cancer (first), buccal mucosa cancer (second), gum cancer (third) and palate cancer of the upper frontal sinus. Gum cancer ranks second among oral squamous carcinomas, commonly known as dental cancer, with ulcerated type being the most common. Gingival cancer is mostly a squamous cell carcinoma with low malignancy and high differentiation, with slow growth and relatively rare distant metastasis. In the early stage, patients have no discomfort symptoms, and it may appear as localized white spots of gingival mucosa with rough surface or painless hyperplasia, which is often ignored or difficult to be detected by patients. Depending on the tissues invaded by the cancer, the symptoms may vary: bleeding, ulceration, loose teeth, pain, restricted mouth opening, numbness of facial mouth and lips, etc. In life, it is recommended to actively eliminate oral discomfort, extract the stumped roots in time; adjust and grind the overly sharp and unevenly worn tooth tips in time; remove the bad restorations in time; reduce the long-term and frequent stimulating factors to avoid the occurrence of precancerous lesions such as oral mucosal white spots, traumatic ulcers and papillomas, so as to achieve early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
