Blood in the eyelids is obvious, and can be considered to be related to physiological factors and pathological factors, pathological factors can include conjunctivitis, trachoma or inverted eyelashes and many other diseases.
1. Physiological factors: when you stay up late or use your eyes excessively, the inner eyelid or conjunctiva can be congested, which can be relieved after resting; if your eyes are stimulated by certain chemicals, you can also see obvious bloodshot eyelids, and if you flush your eyes in time, the symptoms can be gradually receded.
2. Pathological factors: some diseases may also lead to eyelid blood obvious, such as conjunctivitis, trachoma, inverted eyelashes.
(1) Conjunctivitis: Pathogenic factors may include microbial infections (e.g. pneumococcus, staphylococcus aureus), physical stimuli (e.g. wind and sand) or chemical damage (e.g. medical drugs), etc. The most common conjunctival congestion is conjunctival vascular congestion of the conjunctival surface, in which the eyelid conjunctiva may be bloodshot.
(2) Trachoma: the existence of poor hygiene habits, dusty climate and other risk factors, can be in direct or indirect contact with pollutants, infected with Chlamydia trachomatis caused by the disease, most of the two eyes, can be seen in the eyelid redness and swelling, conjunctival congestion and other manifestations.
(3) Inverted eyelashes: some causes of eyelid inversion (such as blepharitis, lid trauma, blepharitis or lid burns, etc.), can make the eyelid margin or eyelid scar formation, resulting in eyelashes inverted to the eyeball, the number of varying, and sometimes some or all of the eyelashes can be rubbing the cornea, long-term friction, which can lead to conjunctival congestion, corneal ulceration and other symptoms.
