What should I do if I get a nosebleed?

Nosebleeds may be associated with diseases such as deviated nasal septum, nasal lymphoma, and intranasal papilloma. According to the degree of the disease and the characteristics of the disease, general treatment, surgical treatment, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other comprehensive treatment should be chosen.
1. Deviated nasal septum: The mucous membrane of the deviated area of the nasal septum bone and cartilage is thin, and it is often the site of mucous membrane and blood vessel rupture and bleeding. Nasal filling, compression and local cold compresses are often adopted to stop bleeding, and when the above methods are ineffective, electrocoagulation and laser treatment can be chosen to stop bleeding. After the condition is stabilized, nasal septum correction surgery and nasal septum submucosal resection are often adopted to correct the structural abnormality of nasal cavity.
2. Nasal lymphoma: This disease is mostly associated with EBV infection, which can develop from rhinitis or sinusitis manifestation, intermittent nasal obstruction with watery or bloody secretion to systemic failure and nosebleed. Emergency bleeding, the above disposal methods can be taken for the disease itself, generally using a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined with a comprehensive treatment program.
3. Nasal involutional papilloma: this disease may be associated with human papillomavirus infection, mostly unilateral onset, one side of the nasal cavity with persistent nasal congestion, progressive aggravation, accompanied by pus, occasionally bloody snot, or recurrent rhinorrhea. On the basis of using the above methods to actively stop bleeding, choose nasal endoscopic surgery, nasal lateral incision and other ways of surgery to completely remove the tumor.
There are many reasons for nosebleed, and when nosebleed occurs, it should be dealt with briefly and then actively consult doctor for emergency treatment, after systematic examination to clarify the cause of bleeding, and then follow the doctor’s instruction to standardize the treatment.
