The original formula of Poria Tang is from “Treatise on Typhoid Fever”, which includes Poria, Poria, Zedoary, Slippery Rock and Colla Corii Asini, among which Poria, Poria and Zedoary are good at seeping and facilitating urination, Slippery Rock can clear away heat and gonorrhea, Colla Corii Asini can nourish yin and clear away heat, and the five medicines can play a role in facilitating drainage and clearing away heat and nourishing yin, and the dosage of the original formula of this medicine is about seven hops (roughly 140 milliliters) each time, which is to be taken three times a day.
Poria Tang can be used in Yangming disease with floating pulse and fever, dysuria, thirst for drinking water, and Shaoyin disease (a disease caused by an exogenous pathogen invading the Shaoyin meridian) with diuresis for six or seven days, and disturbed sleeplessness, etc. In modern times, it is often used for urinary tract infections in which the water and heat are intertwined, epidemiological hemorrhagic fevers, and postnatal retention of urine (incontinence of urination), etc. The side effects of Poria Tang are not yet clear.
The side effects of Pig Ling Soup have not been clarified yet, as this formula is an osmotic agent, it is contraindicated if there is excessive internal heat, sweating and thirst.
