Dietary contraindications for hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism, or hypothyroidism for short, is a relatively common condition.
Patients should take care to avoid excessive intake of smoked meats and avoid alcohol as much as possible; avoid a high salt diet, salt intake should not exceed 6g per day; avoid excessive sugar intake and drinking excessive sugary drinks; avoid high fat intake, vegetable oils are recommended instead of solid fats when cooking. Foods such as cream, cheese, animal offal, peanut rice, walnuts and pancetta should also be limited appropriately.
