Do people with tuberculosis always have sputum?

Patients with tuberculosis do not necessarily have sputum. Patients with tuberculosis may have symptoms such as coughing, coughing up sputum, fever, night sweats and hemoptysis. However, some people have no symptoms at all, and TB is found only when they have a physical examination. Some TB patients only have a cough without sputum, and some patients do not have a fever, so TB patients have a variety of symptoms, and different patients have different characteristics. It is not necessary for every TB patient to have sputum, and the presence or absence of sputum is not necessary for the diagnosis of TB. If there is more sputum, or even pus and sputum, it is likely that TB is combined with a lung infection. If tuberculosis is detected, anti-TB treatment should be carried out as early as possible, and anti-TB drugs should be applied in a timely manner, throughout the course of the treatment and in sufficient dosage, in order to get the best treatment effect.
