Is breast cancer metastasis to axillary lymph nodes early stage?

Breast cancer is not considered to be in the early stages of development when tumor cells have metastasized to the axillary lymph nodes. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor caused by the presence of malignant lesions in the breast, which has a high incidence rate in women. According to the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, the early stage of breast cancer refers to stage 0 and stage I breast cancer, and according to the anatomical staging, stage 0 and stage 1 breast cancer will not have axillary lymph node metastasis. Therefore, once the malignant tumor cells in the body are found to have axillary lymph node metastasis through examination, it means that the condition belongs to the middle or late stage. For breast cancer patients, not only do they need to decide the treatment plan for the disease through clinical staging, but also the clinical staging can assess the prognosis of the disease to a certain extent, and the later the staging, the worse the prognosis will be in general. Regardless of the individual’s condition, once diagnosed with breast cancer, active treatment is required.
