Methods and criteria for terminal sterilization

The method of final disinfection is judged by the object to be disinfected, which includes contaminants, air, excreta and vomit of patients, and means of transportation. Different disinfectants can be chosen for different disinfection objects, such as alcohol, 84 disinfectant and peroxyacetic acid, etc. The main criterion is to completely eliminate the pathogens spread by the cases and left in the rooms and various objects, so as to make the epidemic site harmless. 1. Pollutants: 1000mg/L chlorine disinfectant or 500mg/L chlorine dioxide disinfectant can be used to wipe or spray the pollutants, so as to achieve the purpose of disinfection. 2. Air: Deactivate the air conditioning system in time and enhance indoor and outdoor air circulation, followed by extensive air disinfection. 3. Patients’ excreta and vomit: they should be collected in special containers and disinfected by soaking in a disinfectant containing 20,000mg/L of effective chlorine at a ratio of 1:2 of feces to medicine for about 2 hours. 4. Transportation: You can use 1000mg/L chlorine disinfectant solution, 0.2%~0.5% peroxyacetic acid or 500mg/L chlorine dioxide disinfectant to spray or wipe the transportation, wait for 30 minutes and then wipe it clean with water. However, final disinfection needs to be carried out under the guidance of epidemic prevention personnel, and the operation should pay attention to self-protection and wear professional protective equipment. In addition, when taking off the protective equipment, the disinfection personnel should try to avoid contacting the contaminated surface, and each step should be hand disinfection.
