What is the persistent enhancement of the gallbladder wall?

Persistent enhancement of the gallbladder wall may be caused by gallbladder stones, cholecystitis or gallbladder cancer. Continuous enhancement of the gallbladder wall, which is a common term used to describe abdominal ultrasound, is usually caused by gallbladder stones or repeated gallbladder inflammation that stimulates the mucosa of the gallbladder due to the patient’s bad lifestyle habits, such as the patient’s preference for high-fat and high-cholesterol foods, and for greasy, spicy and irritating foods, which may result in a higher likelihood of developing gallbladder stones and cholecystitis than in normal people. In addition, if there is a relatively large swelling with obvious enhancement, or irregular thickening of the gallbladder wall, the possibility of gallbladder cancer is suspected. Pathologic examination is needed to determine the nature and further treatment. Therefore, patients with persistent strengthening of gallbladder wall should go to the hospital for timely examination if they have any discomfort, and should not be careless so as not to miss the best time for treatment. Usually also need to pay attention to diet, avoid greasy spicy stimulating food, need to low fat low cholesterol diet, eat rich in vitamins and proteins rich food.
