A poorly displayed right ovary is an ultrasound report statement, not necessarily a disease hazard. It is commonly associated with obesity, intestinal distention, abnormal ovarian position, postoperative ovarian surgery, and ovarian failure.
1. Obesity: abdominal ultrasound examination, women with thicker abdominal wall, will cause poor image clarity, the report may appear on the right side of the ovary does not show clear expression, but does not mean that there is a danger.
2. Intestinal distension: Whether abdominal or vaginal ultrasound, if the patient’s intestinal gas is more, it will increase the difficulty of the examination, and the report may show the expression of the right ovary is not clear, but it does not mean that there is a danger.
3. Abnormal ovarian position: if the patient’s congenital development or acquired factors cause different lengths of ovarian ligaments, resulting in its position closer to the upper or posterior part of the pelvis, the right ovary may not show clearly, which does not mean that it is necessarily a hazard of the disease.
4. Post-operative ovarian surgery: including ovarian partial resection or total resection, postoperative ultrasound examination due to the residual ovarian tissue is too little or no ovarian tissue, the report will appear on the right side of the ovary is not clear to say, the harm to the patient is the reduction of ovarian function or the impact of the original disease.
5. Ovarian function decline: women before and after menopause or women with premature ovarian failure may have unclear right ovary during ultrasound examination, and the harm of ovarian function decline is reflected in the increased incidence of infertility, cardio-cerebral and cerebral vascular diseases, osteoporosis and so on.
The risk of right ovarian dysfunction is analyzed by the doctor in conjunction with the full report, the patient’s symptoms and other tests.
