Hypodense shadows in the right lobe of the liver need to be further examined by MRI or enhanced CT. Hypodense shadow in the right lobe of the liver refers to focal lesions in the liver, which are usually seen in plain CT examination of the liver, and can be benign lesions, such as liver cysts, liver abscesses, hepatic cavernous hemangiomas, and parasitosis, etc.; or malignant lesions, such as primary hepatocellular carcinoma and metastatic carcinoma of the liver. Magnetic resonance examination is usually used as a supplementary examination technique after ultrasound and CT examination of liver diseases, mainly used for differential diagnosis of diseases, with high soft tissue resolution, which can find smaller lesions, especially for the diagnosis of early hepatocellular carcinoma with high value. Therefore, patients with low-density shadow in the right lobe of the liver detected by CT scan need further MRI or enhanced CT scan to further clarify the diagnosis.
