Is a glioma serious?

Glioma is more serious, you need to visit the hospital in time for examination and treatment under the guidance of doctors.
Glioma mainly refers to cerebral glioma, which is more serious and is the primary malignant tumor of central nervous system with the highest morbidity and mortality rate, accounting for about half of intracranial tumors.
According to WHO classification, glioma can be divided into 4 grades, grade I-II is low grade glioma; grade III-IV is high grade glioma, and the prognosis of high grade glioma is very poor.
Current treatments may include surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, etc. The prognosis is poor, and the most common pathological type is glioblastoma. Surgical resection can delay tumor recurrence and reduce tumor occupying effect, thus improving neurological function to prolong survival.
It is recommended that patients suffering from glioma should seek early medical treatment and be actively treated under doctor’s guidance to improve the prognosis.
