Mixed airway inflammation refers to the presence of both infectious and non-infectious factors, including viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma, chlamydia, rickettsia, and non-infectious factors, including allergens such as pollen, oil smoke, and chemical gases from atmospheric pollution that cause a hyper-reactive state of the airways, resulting in an inflammatory response. Patients may experience significant congestion and edema of the airways, exudation of inflammatory secretions, and even formation of sputum plugs to block the airways, and combined with contraction of the trachea, bronchi, and smooth muscles, the lumen of the airways becomes relatively narrow, and symptoms of coughing, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness occur.
