It is basically not used in clinical practice nowadays. It has the functions of clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxicity from the body), removing blood stasis and stopping bleeding, and is mainly used for treating sore throat, mouth sores on the teeth, epistaxis, vomiting blood and impotence of the lungs.
Renzhongbai is a solid substance naturally deposited by human urine, with a salty and cold flavor, and belongs to the lung, heart and bladder meridians. It is effective in clearing heat and removing toxins, eliminating blood stasis and stopping bleeding, treating sore throat, mouth and tongue sores, dental chancre, noma, scalded by fire and water, wet sores and ulcers, bruises, swelling and pain, laborious fever, lung impotence, hemoptysis and epistaxis.
Renzhongbai can be combined with green fruit kernel, catechu and ice tablet to treat laryngeal paralysis (redness, swelling and pain in the pharynx, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or itchy pharynx, difficulty in swallowing), laryngeal carbuncle, laryngeal ringworm, and double breasted moths (related to tonsillitis in Western medicine). Renzhongbai (人中白) can be powdered into a very fine powder to treat stumbling and fluttering injuries and flashing frustration. It is not recommended to be used by those who are weak and cold in the spleen and stomach (脾胃虚寒).
