Symptoms of late stage bone cancer

Bone tumor has no obvious symptoms in early stage, benign bone tumor rarely causes pain, while malignant bone tumor pain is often the first symptom, its progress is fast and the course of disease is short, and when it is found, advanced malignant disease already appears. In addition to cachexia, the late symptoms of malignant bone tumor include: 1. Bone pain: it is often severe and especially obvious at night. Myeloma and extensive bone metastases often cause severe generalized pain. 2. Restricted activity: Most malignant bone tumors are poorly defined and may have surface skin redness and swelling, vascular congestion and expansion, increased skin temperature, and adhesion between skin and deep tissues, and adjacent joints often have restricted activity. Fracture: Malignant bone tumor often shows osteolytic bone destruction, resulting in local bone density reduction, loss of normal bone structure, pathological fracture and deformation. 4.Local swelling: It is often caused by the malignant bone tumor breaking through the bone cortex and invading the soft tissues. Adjacent soft tissues can be displaced by pressure, and pressure marks or erosion of bone cortex can be seen on the surface of adjacent bone. Most of the bone cancer is in advanced stage when the symptoms are found, and the prognosis is poor. If you find unexplained bone pain, unexplained one or more fractures, localized bone swelling, etc., you should be vigilant and consult orthopedics department as soon as possible to improve relevant examinations to achieve early detection and treatment.
