According to the Chinese Diabetes Dietary Guidelines (2017), the most fundamental way to control blood glucose is still to eat and move in a balanced way, use medications appropriately, and achieve or maintain ideal body weight. Among them, the diet needs to ensure balanced nutrition on the basis of energy control. The volume ratio of vegetables, staple foods, meat, egg, milk and soybean products is 2:1:1, which is equivalent to 1/2 of each meal being a variety of vegetables, 1/4 being high-quality staple foods and 1/4 being high-quality protein such as meat, egg, milk and soybean products. It is also important to note that 1/2 of the vegetables are green leafy vegetables, 1/2 of the staple foods are coarse grains, and meat choose lean meat: the meal order is to eat the vegetables first, then the meal, which can slow down the rate of blood sugar rise after the meal and help control blood sugar.
