From the follow-up of stage IV ovarian cancer, 70%~80% of patients can recur within 10 years after surgery. The recurrence rate of stage IV ovarian cancer after surgery has not been accurately reported, so it is suggested that patients after treatment should pay attention to regular review. Stage IV ovarian cancer belongs to advanced stage, which indicates that the cancer cells have already spread, so its recurrence probability is greater than that of early and middle stage ovarian cancer. Most of the patients with stage IV ovarian cancer may have signs of recurrence after surgery, but with the emergence of the latest targeted drugs for ovarian cancer, the time of recurrence of stage IV ovarian cancer patients after surgery can be extended to a great extent. Therefore, it is recommended to review every 3~6 months in 2~3 years after surgery, and every half a year to a year thereafter. In conclusion, regular follow-up is necessary after stage IV ovarian cancer surgery to detect and prevent the recurrence of ovarian cancer as early as possible so that treatment can be carried out as early as possible.
