What’s with the double vision in your eyes while driving?

Double vision while driving may be caused by visual fatigue, refractive error or eye muscle paralysis.
1. Visual fatigue: If you don’t have a good night’s sleep or stay up late before driving, you may experience visual fatigue, leading to double vision while driving.
2. Refractive error: Since driving requires a high degree of concentration, if you suffer from minor myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and other refractive disorders, the refraction may change, resulting in double vision in the eyes.
3. Ophthalmic muscle paralysis: usually caused by inflammation, trauma, tumors and other factors lead to eye nerve compression damage, which leads to driving with double vision, usually combined with eyelid ptosis, pupil change, orbital pain and other symptoms.
If the symptoms are not relieved after taking a rest, you should ask someone else to drive to avoid accidents and go to the hospital in time to check the cause and standardize the treatment.
