What are the side effects of ibuprofen extended-release capsules

The side effects of ibuprofen extended-release capsules include the following: First, a few patients may experience nausea, vomiting, heartburn or mild indigestion, gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, nervousness, drowsiness or sudden weight gain. Second, the rarer ones are allergic nephritis, rash, cystitis, nephrotic syndrome, etc. Third, rare allergic renal papillary necrosis or renal failure, especially when used for a long time, usually accompanied by increased serum urea levels. Fourth, intestinal disorders, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, may be aggravated in patients with a past history of such disorders. Fifth, extremely rare severe allergic reactions, including facial, tongue, and throat edema, dyspnea, tachycardia, and hypotension. Sixth, very rare hematopoietic disorders, such as anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia, granulocyte deficiency, etc. Seventh, hypertension, edema, and heart failure have been reported with NSAID treatment. Eighth, in patients with autoimmune diseases, there have been isolated cases of aseptic meningeal inflammation during ibuprofen treatment, manifesting as cervical tonicity, headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, and even problems with consciousness.
