Precautions after MMR

The precautions to be taken after MMR vaccination include adjusting diet, paying attention to rest, and not taking bath within 24 hours. 1. Adjustment of diet: spicy, greasy, raw and cold food should be avoided after injection of MMR vaccine. The injection of vaccine may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, easy to nausea and vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea and other symptoms, and the above food will aggravate gastrointestinal tract irritation, affecting the recovery of adverse reactions. Also avoid eating allergenic food, such as seafood, some patients may have an allergic reaction after vaccination, and the consumption of which may induce induced allergies. 2. Pay attention to rest: you should avoid strenuous exercise or heavy physical labor after vaccination. 3. Don’t take a shower within 24 hours: because the injection site will be left with a needle eye after vaccination, and the needle eye needs some time to heal. If you take a shower within 24 hours, it may cause water to enter the eye of the needle and become infected easily. It is important to observe your health condition after the MMR vaccination, and go to the hospital if the adverse reaction has serious effects on your body.
