Can enhanced CT reveal malignant tumors

Enhanced CT is commonly used for preliminary diagnosis of malignant tumors, but confirming the diagnosis of malignant tumors requires a combination of multiple diagnostic means, and the gold standard is pathological examination.
For patients with tumors, ordinary CT can find the lesions, and after diagnosis, it is necessary to improve the enhanced CT to determine the nature of the lesions, staging and so on.
Under the examination of enhanced CT, doctors can see the tumor body as well as the relationship between the size of the lesion and blood vessels, and determine the nature of the tumor, such as benign or malignant, and the specific staging. Therefore, enhanced CT is widely used in the diagnosis and follow-up of malignant tumors.
However, the diagnosis of tumor often needs to integrate a variety of means, such as symptoms, hematological examination, MRI, pathological biopsy, endoscopy and so on.
It can make the tumor clearer and facilitate doctors to have a clearer observation of the lesion. In general, enhanced CT is also combined with nuclear magnetic bone scanning, which is more effective.
If there is any abnormality, suspicion or diagnosis of tumor, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals for comprehensive assessment of the condition, integrating a variety of means to diagnose and assess the disease, and follow the doctor’s instructions to cooperate with the treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
