Can conjunctivitis cause dizziness and headaches?

Conjunctivitis is usually less likely to cause dizziness and headaches. Conjunctivitis is primarily an infection of the conjunctiva or a non-infectious change. In the case of infectious changes, there will be congestion in the whites of the eyes and an increase in fluid in the eyes, and there may be pain in the eyes, but no headache or dizziness will be involved. In the case of non-infectious changes, there may be mild congestion, itchy eyes or localized pressure pain, but no dizziness or headache. Dizziness and headache in the eye are manifested by elevated intraocular pressure, or immune-based diseases such as iridocyclitis, which may cause concomitant headache and dizziness. If there is conjunctivitis, it will not cause dizziness or headache. If you have dizziness and headache, you can go to an ophthalmologist to have your IOP measured to rule out glaucoma and iridocyclitis.
