Fibrotic nodules in the right upper lung do not require treatment if they are asymptomatic and can be reviewed regularly; if they are painful or increasing in size, surgery may be considered. Most of the fibrotic nodules in the right upper lung are formed by inflammation, and also by injury or limited infection in the lungs, but basically they do not cause lung pain, dry cough and other symptoms. Therefore, the clinical practice is based on regular review. When the fibrosclerotic foci in the right upper lung cause intermittent pain in the lungs, or when the fibrosclerotic nodules appear to be increasing in size, surgical treatment may be considered. In addition, the pathological findings of the specimen after surgical resection are used to clarify the nature of the sclerotic nodule and further treatment.
