Acanthamoeba, or impetigo, and herpes simplex are two different skin diseases, but there are significant differences between the two in terms of causative factors, clinical manifestations, and so on. 1. Causes: Acanthamoeba is caused by infection with hemolytic streptococcus or staphylococcus aureus, while herpes simplex is caused by infection with herpes simplex virus. 2. Clinical symptoms: yellow sores are mainly manifested as pustules, accompanied by obvious redness, swelling and itching; while herpes simplex patients are mainly manifested in the affected area as itching, burning, stinging and ulcers and other symptoms.
