The patient’s right scapular region pain can be caused by the following reasons: First, scapula’s own disease: tumor, tuberculosis or metastasis of scapula can lead to the pain of one side of scapula, which should be further diagnosed and treated by CT and MRI of scapula. Second, liver and gallbladder diseases: cholecystitis or gallbladder stones, liver diseases lead to radiating pain on the right side of scapula, which should be further diagnosed and treated by CT, ultrasound and MRI of liver. Third, lung diseases: tumors in the lungs and lung tips can lead to pain in the right scapula, which should be diagnosed by lung CT examination. Fourth, shoulder diseases: shoulder joint muscle injury leads to pain in the scapula, and MRI should be carried out for diagnosis. Fifth, cervical spine disease: a part of cervical spine disease can compress the nerves and lead to pain in the right scapula, which should be further diagnosed and treated by cervical spine MRI.
