Why do babies snore?

Common causes of snoring in children include enlarged tonsils, enlarged adenoids and allergic rhinitis.
If your child is unable to relieve snoring for a long period of time, you should seek medical attention to identify the cause and see if there is a problem such as enlarged tonsils or adenoids causing obstructive sleep apnoea. If this is the cause, early treatment is recommended to avoid disrupting your child’s sleep and affecting the normal growth and development of the child’s oral and maxillofacial areas, teeth and other organs.
