Snoring in bed after having a baby is directly related to the obesity of the patient’s body. However, when the patient sleeps at night, the nerve excitability decreases, the whole body muscles relax, the pharyngeal tissues are blocked, and the pharyngeal fat accumulates, which makes the upper airway, including the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and oropharynx, collapse. When the airflow passes through the narrow and collapsed part, it will generate eddy flow and cause vibration, which will lead to the performance of snoring. In this case, if the patient has breath-holding, waking up and often breathing with open mouth, it is recommended that the patient can go to the ENT ward for sleep monitoring to determine the severity of snoring. If the patient only snores, but, does not have any breath-holding or wakefulness, this condition does not need to be treated.
