Is chronic nephritis hereditary?

Chronic nephritis has little to do with heredity and is not hereditary.
Chronic nephritis, also called chronic glomerulonephritis, is a series of glomerular diseases with proteinuria, hematuria, hypertension, and edema as clinical manifestations, with different modes of onset, and with prolonged illness, which may eventually progress to uremia.
Chronic glomerulonephritis is usually induced by immune-mediated inflammatory response, not due to genetic mutation, etc. Therefore, it is not hereditary like diseases caused by genetic mutation such as alport syndrome and polycystic kidney disease.
Chronic glomerulonephritis is very insidious in its onset, and some patients may not have any symptoms, so they need to consult the nephrology department and complete the examination to make it clear.
It is recommended that patients with chronic nephritis consult a regular hospital in a timely manner and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment to slow down the progression of the disease.
