Cervical erosion degree III usually does not require hysterectomy. It is possible that cervical erosion is a physiological phenomenon caused by increased estrogen levels in women, resulting in the outward migration of the columnar epithelium, but cancer screening of the cervix is still generally required. If the TCT and HPV tests are not abnormal, treatment is generally not necessary. However, if cervical erosion of degree III causes symptoms of cervicitis such as increased discharge or contact bleeding, treatment can be performed. Some physical methods can be used to treat cervical erosion, such as Lipo knife surgery to remove the cervical erosion, or radiofrequency ablation or laser.
