How to tell if you are ovulating

To determine whether you are ovulating or not, you can use ovulation test strips, basal body temperature measurements and observe changes in cervical mucus. 1. Ovulation test strips: Ovulation test strips are used to determine whether you are ovulating by monitoring the level of luteinizing hormone in your body. You can start monitoring on the 10th day of your menstrual cycle, and when there are two dark red lines, it indicates strong positivity, and you can usually ovulate in about 24 hours. 2. Basal Body Temperature Measurement: Starting from the first day of the menstrual cycle to monitor the change of basal body temperature, as progesterone can make the basal body temperature rise by 0.3~0.5℃ after ovulation, thus presenting a biphasic type to determine ovulation. However, it needs to be monitored continuously for three months to have guiding significance. 3. Observe the changes of cervical mucus: during the ovulation period, under the influence of the estrogen level in the body, the amount of cervical mucus will increase, thin and transparent, with a good pulling degree, which mostly appears around the 6th to 7th day of the menstrual cycle, and the cervical mucus secretion decreases after the ovulation period, with a viscous and turbid texture, and with a poor pulling degree that is easy to break, which can also assist in determining the ovulation.
