Temporomandibular joint cancer may be osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma and so on, which are usually examined by imaging and pathology to make a clear diagnosis as follows. 1. Osteosarcoma: (1) Imaging examination: mainly X-ray flat film and CT, manifesting as thickening and thickening of bone trabeculae in osteogenic area, destruction and resorption of bone trabeculae in osteolytic area, and osteogenesis and osteolysis may appear in the same lesion at the same time. (2) Pathological examination: characterized by direct formation of bone-like tissue by tumor cells. The main components of the tumor are tumor bone, tumor osteoblasts and bone-like matrix. 2. Chondrosarcoma: (1) Imaging examination: primary chondrosarcoma is mostly characterized by the destruction of bone structure in the jawbone; secondary chondrosarcoma can also present soft tissue mass in addition to the dissolution and destruction of jawbone. (2) Pathological examination: characterized by the appearance of binucleated or multinucleated tumor cells in the cartilage tissue. There may also be other tumors occurring in the temporomandibular joint. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time to get a clear diagnosis and then carry out targeted treatment.
