What’s the reason for feeling weak in your hands?

Feeling that your hands have no strength may be caused by physiological factors, or it may be caused by hypoglycemia, cervical spondylosis and cerebral infarction.
1. Physiological factors: If the hands are cold or the upper limbs are overworked, the hands may feel weak, which can be relieved by local warmth or rest.
2. Hypoglycemia: mostly caused by insufficient intake of sugar, insufficient sugar production, etc. Patients usually have palpitations, fatigue and hunger during hypoglycemic episodes, which may also lead to the feeling of lack of strength in the hands.
3. Cervical spondylosis: it is mostly caused by cervical spine degeneration and trauma, etc. If the degeneration of intervertebral disc tissue compresses the nerve root and spinal cord, patients may have symptoms such as radioactive pain or numbness of the upper limbs, muscle weakness, etc., and thus may feel weak in the hands.
4. Cerebral infarction: it may be caused by atherosclerosis of large arteries, occlusion of small arteries and other factors, and patients often show symptoms of numbness and weakness of lateral limbs, which may be accompanied by speech impediment, dizziness and so on.
Feeling that the hands have no strength may also be due to polyneuritis and other causes, it is recommended that patients seek medical attention in a timely manner to identify the cause of the disease and actively carry out treatment.
