Zoledronic acid reduces bone pain caused by bone metastases from malignant tumors and decreases the incidence of bone-related events complicating bone metastases from malignant tumors, but does not cure bone metastases. Zoledronic acid is a third-generation bisphosphonate that acts specifically on bone tissue, which can inhibit bone resorption due to increased osteoclastic activity, and has the effect of improving bone quality and decreasing bone-related events such as fracture, pain, spinal cord compression, hypercalcemia and so on, and therefore, it is commonly used in the treatment of anti-bone metastasis. In the treatment of bone metastasis, the main thing is that the primary tumor should be actively treated, as well as the application of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, local surgery and other comprehensive means to completely eradicate the tumor cells in order to achieve a radical cure. Even for the same disease, the treatment methods are different for different physical conditions and different stages of the disease, which should be judged under the guidance of doctors and standardized treatment in combination with the condition. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, avoiding self-medication.
