What’s the matter with your heart beating so fast after a nap?

A sleep up heartbeat accelerated both physiological factors, but also disease factors. Physiological factors are mostly seen in vagus nerve excitation, poor sleep, disease factors are seen in arrhythmia, postural hypotension, hyperthyroidism and so on. 1. Physiological factors: (1) Vagal excitation: the vagus nerve dominates the body during sleep, which can be manifested as low blood pressure and slow heart rate. After waking up, the sympathetic nerve excitability rises, and symptoms such as blood pressure rising and heart rate accelerating may appear. (2) Poor quality of sleep: the sudden acceleration of heartbeat after waking up may be related to poor quality of sleep. When sleeping, the room should be kept quiet and comfortable, and some hot milk can be drunk before going to bed, so as to improve the quality of sleep. 2. Pathologic factors: (1) Arrhythmia: such as atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia and so on, can cause sudden rapid heartbeat, if the tachycardia lasts for a long time, it is better to go to the hospital to check the 24-hour electrocardiogram, to see whether there is arrhythmic disease. (2) postural hypotension: when you wake up and change your body position too quickly, your blood pressure can drop, which can lead to the symptoms of reflexive rapid heartbeat and panic. (3) Hyperthyroidism: patients with hyperthyroidism will have obvious tachycardia, which can be clearly diagnosed through laboratory tests of thyroid function. The rapid heartbeat after a sleep is recommended to consult a doctor in time, improve the relevant examination, to clarify the specific causes of the disease, so as to target treatment.
