There are individual differences in the age at which children speak and no generalizations can be made.
Generally, at about five months they begin to murmur word syllables. Unconscious sounds, such as daddy and mommy, begin at seven months. Simple syllables from adults can be repeated at eight months. Ten to eleven months begin to use words, using one word for multiple meanings.
Children’s language ability grows gradually. If the child is still unable to speak at the age of two or above, it is necessary to consider whether there is a backwardness in language development.
Parents are advised to pay more attention to their child’s speech, and should pay attention to giving the child more sound stimulation and creating more opportunities to speak. If the child is unable to speak, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for regular treatment.
