Imaging manifestations of renal bone disease

The imaging of renal osteopathy is mainly done by X-rays and occasionally by CT or MRI, and there are several major features of renal osteopathy: 1) subperiosteal bone resorption in short tubular bones, which is caused by hyperparathyroidism; 2) fibrous cystic osteitis, or brown tumor, which is a tumor-like lesion; 3) in the pelvis, the shape of the pelvis is significantly invaginated and a triangular pelvis appears. This is due to bone softening and deformation of the pelvic bones; 4. A white and a black pseudo-fracture line appears on the spine, and also on long tubular bones, such as a pseudo-fracture line shadow on the femur; 5. Non-resorption of the bone ends, most commonly the toe bone and clavicle at the end of short tubular bones.
