Acupuncture points with hypotensive effect

There is no clear record of acupoints with antihypertensive effect, hypertension can be referred to as “dizziness”, “headache” and other categories in Chinese medicine, and can be used to improve the related discomfort symptoms, such as Fengchi, Baihui, Hegu, Quchi, Taichong, and Sanyinjiao.
1. Fengchi point, an acupoint on the neck, is located at the upper end of the trapezius muscle and the upper part of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, in the depression between the two, which can regulate the head’s qi, submerge the yang and calm the liver.
2. Baihui Point, on the top of the head, located five inches above the hairline in the front center, the meeting of all yang, can calm the heart and tranquilize the mind.
3. Hegu point, on the back of the hand, located on the midpoint of the radial side of the second metacarpal bone, can clear heat and calm the mind.
4. Quchi Point, on the elbow joint, located on the midpoint of the line between the lateral epicondyle of the humerus and the lateral elbow transverse stripe, can be used to clear heat and dispel wind.
5. Taichong point, located between the first and second metatarsal bones, where the arterial pulsations can be touched, is the original point of the syncopal liver meridian, which can regulate qi and dredge the liver.
6. Sanyinjiao point, located on the lower leg, three inches above the tip of the inner ankle, is the meeting point of the three yin meridians of the foot, which can regulate the spleen, liver and kidney organs.
After the emergence of hypertension, should go to the regular medical institutions in a timely manner to follow the doctor’s prescription medication, do not recommend self-massage acupuncture points, so as not to delay the condition.
