Low estrogen level is likely to be a result of diminished function of the ovaries, which may be due to a decrease in the number or quality of oocytes in the ovaries, affecting normal pregnancy. In addition, low estrogen is not easy to fertilize the egg, estrogen will affect the thickness of the endometrium, under normal circumstances, estrogen and progesterone support the endometrium, to reach a certain thickness to have tolerance, before the fertilized egg may be able to bed. If estrogen is low and the endometrium is not receptive, the fertilized egg will not be able to implant, and therefore pregnancy will not occur normally.
