How to tell the difference between baby rash and prickly heat

Baby rashes and prickly heat can be differentiated by season, location and lesion characteristics. 1. Season: Rash is a symptom that may appear in all seasons. Prickly heat is a disease that develops in summer or in hot and humid environments. 2. Site: Rash can be seen in simple skin diseases or systemic diseases, so the rash appears in a wider range of sites without characteristics. Prickly heat mostly appears in armpits, elbows, forehead, trunk and other skin folds. 3. Lesion characteristics: Rash is mainly manifested by limited changes in skin color and morphology, which may be accompanied by other symptoms such as itching and tenderness, and some patients may be left with hyperpigmentation and scarring after healing. There are many types of rashes, including macular rash and papular rash. Prickly heat, on the other hand, manifests itself as raised papules or mounds of herpes on the skin, and is also prone to be accompanied by tingling and itching sensations. Parents are advised to take their babies with skin abnormalities to the doctor for examination so that the cause can be clarified and the baby can be treated according to the doctor’s advice to restore his/her health.
