Anesthesia injection procedure for cesarean section

The process of administering anesthesia for cesarean delivery mainly includes positioning, determining the site of puncture, disinfecting and spreading the towel and puncture. 1. Positioning: subarachnoid anesthesia is usually done in the lateral position, with the mother’s back perpendicular to the operating table, her back bent, her hands clasped around her knees, and her head like the side of the chest. 2. Determine the site of puncture: the puncture is mostly chosen in the lumbar 3-4 or lumbar 2-3 spinous processes, and the site of puncture is in the line of the highest point of the iliac crest on both sides and at the intersection of the spine. 3. Sterilization of the towel: after routine skin sterilization, spread the sterilized towel. 4. Puncture: the mother maintains her position, the physician fixes the skin with the left back thumb and forefinger, slowly inserts the puncture needle at the midpoint of the spinous processes and perpendicular to the patient’s back, and advances the needle in the direction of the axis of the needle with the right hand pointer finger. After the tip of the needle enters the subarachnoid space, the occipital core is withdrawn to make sure that there is cerebrospinal fluid outflow, then it can be immobilized, injected with medication, and then resumed in the lying position, waiting for anesthesia to play a role in the surgery.
