Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are mainly used to treat various types of depression or generalized anxiety disorder. It is mainly administered once a day, trying to give the medication at the same time each day. The initial dose varies depending on the type of depression. In the case of new-onset patients, 37.5 p.p.m. should be given at first, and then after 4-7 days, 75 p.p.m. can be given daily. For generalized anxiety, the starting dose is also 75 p.p.m. The initial dose is smaller, 37.5 p.p.m., and the dose will be gradually increased after 4-7 days.
