What is the definition of CPR

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a first aid measure used in cardiac arrest with the aim of restoring the patient’s spontaneous breathing and voluntary circulation through CPR.
The indications for CPR are patients who have suffered cardiac arrest. Once cardiac arrest is determined, CPR should be performed on the patient immediately, with the most important steps being chest compressions, opening the airway, and artificial respiration.
The specific steps of cardiopulmonary resuscitation are as follows: first assess the safety of the surrounding environment, determine whether the patient has lost consciousness, such as determining cardiac arrest, the patient should be placed on the hard floor, the site of compression for the lower third of the lower and middle sternum junction, hands stacked, fingers interlocked, the root of the palm of the lower hand to contact the site of the compression, the amplitude of the compression should be made to make the thorax sink at least 5 centimeters, the frequency of more than 100 times/minute, after 30 times of compression. It is necessary to open the airway using the tilt head and lift chin (chin) method, artificial respiration twice, and assess whether the patient’s resuscitation is effective after 5 consecutive cycles.
When the patient is found to be in cardiac arrest, rapid judgment should be made, according to the situation of the use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the same time to call 120 for help, after the arrival of the 120 medical team to do a good job of handover work.
