What is the department for gastrointestinal problems?

Bad gastrointestinal problems are usually seen in two departments: first, gastroenterology. Second, general surgery. Some hospitals have a relatively detailed division of disciplines, and if there is a gastroenterology department with gastrointestinal surgery, it is of course the first choice. In general, if there is no obvious disease that needs surgical treatment, such as no tumor or mass present, you can go to the gastroenterology department for consultation first. If it is clear that there is a tumor present or a lesion such as intestinal obstruction that requires surgical treatment, you can go to general surgery or gastrointestinal surgery. Most hospitals have a guide doctor, so if you cannot clarify it by yourself, you can go to the guide doctor for a brief consultation before registering, so that you can take less detours.
