Amenorrhea injections usually refer to leuprolide injections, and the ovaries usually return to normal after leuprolide injections in women of childbearing age without them, with an approximate recovery time of about 3 to 6 months.
Leuprolide injections are a gonadotropin-promoting medication that is mostly used after surgery for endometriosis to avoid recurrence and to produce a brief period of amenorrhea after the use of the medication. Three injections are usually required, every four weeks. After stopping the injections, menstruation will resume normally in about three to six months.
Clinically leuprolide injection is also used for uterine fibroids, central precocious puberty, and premenopausal breast cancerous changes.
Leuprolide Injection has more side effects, which may lead to amenorrhea, menstrual disorders, postmenopausal syndrome, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and so on. Therefore, Leuprolide injection should be used under the guidance of a doctor, not blindly self-medication to avoid adverse effects.
